Presented by Sharp Memorial Hospital plus

In this support group you will have the opportunity to see and interact with other people who are waiting for a heart transplant, as well as some who have already had a heart transplant. This support group is highly recommended for those who are being evaluated for a heart transplant.

This group focuses on issues relating to ongoing adjustments, goal setting and general reentry to full physical and emotional function.

Meetings occur the second Tuesday of every month in the afternoon with the exception of the months of April, August and December, when they will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

Parking is available in the structure on Health Center Drive. Parking fees may apply.

Presenter Information plus

The support group is facilitated by the Sharp Memorial Hospital cardiac-transplant social worker.

What to Bring plus

The patient can bring family members and/or friends to support sessions (there is no limit to the number of support people attending with patient). Family and friends may also attend without the patient.
